BLE Bluetooth TPMS Sensor for Tesla

Designed specifically for seamless integration with your Tesla, this pre-programmed BLE Bluetooth Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor (TPMS) delivers OEM-level reliability with simple plug-and-play installation. It provides real-time, highly accurate tire pressure and temperature updates directly to your vehicle's system and smartphone app via a stable 2.4G wireless Bluetooth signal. Built to withstand extreme weather conditions, the sensor is equipped with a 320mAh / 3V battery that ensures a lifespan of 5 years or more, keeping you safe and informed without the hassle of frequent replacements.

Installation Guide

  1. Loosen the Tire: Safely lift the car if needed and loosen the tire nuts without removing them completely.
  2. Remove the Valve Cap: Unscrew the cap from the tire valve.
  3. Install the Sensor: Securely screw the TPMS sensor onto the tire valve, avoiding over-tightening.
  4. Inflate the Tire: Pump the tire to Tesla's recommended pressure to ensure accurate readings.
  5. Replace the Valve Cap: Screw the cap back over the sensor for protection.
  6. Test the System: Turn on your Tesla and verify that the sensor is communicating properly with the tire pressure monitoring system.

Compatibility Guide

Tesla vehicles use two different types of TPMS technology. This BLE Bluetooth sensor (1490701-01-B) is exclusively compatible with the following refreshed models:

  • Model 3: Built October 2020 – Present
  • Model Y: Built October 2020 – Present (All models)
  • Model S / S Plaid: Refreshed models, June 2021 – Present
  • Model X / X Plaid: Refreshed models, October 2021 – Present

(Note: If you drive a Model 3 built between 2017–Sept 2020, a Model S built between 2012–Jan 2021, or a Model X built between 2015–Jan 2021, your vehicle requires the older RF 433MHz TPMS [1034602-00-A & 1034602-00-C].)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Do I need to take my Tesla to a service center to program these sensors?
A: No. These sensors come pre-programmed specifically for compatible Tesla models. It is a completely plug-and-play system. Once installed and your tires are properly inflated, your Tesla will automatically recognize the Bluetooth signal after a short drive.
Q2: Will these sensors connect directly to my smartphone?
A: Yes. Because they utilize Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), the sensors can transmit real-time pressure and temperature data directly to a compatible TPMS smartphone app, as well as to your Tesla's central dashboard.
Q3: How accurate are the pressure readings compared to the original Tesla sensors?
A: These offer exact OEM-level performance. The pressure accuracy is within ±1.5PSI (±0.1bar) and the temperature accuracy is within ±3°C, ensuring your dashboard displays highly reliable data.
Q4: Can I replace the battery inside the sensor when it dies?
A: Like all factory TPMS units, the sensors are permanently sealed to protect against extreme weather, water, and debris, meaning the batteries cannot be replaced. However, our sensors are built with a high-capacity 320mAh battery guaranteed to last for 5 years or more.
Q5: What should I do if my TPMS light flashes or stays solid after installation?
A: A solid TPMS light simply means one or more tires need air—verify your tire pressure matches the recommended levels. If the TPMS light flashes for 60 to 90 seconds upon starting the car and then stays solid, it indicates a communication malfunction or that you may have purchased the wrong frequency (e.g., trying to use a BLE sensor on an older 433MHz vehicle).
